As summer officially begins, we want to wish all our Blue Angels Alumni and families a safe, enjoyable, and memorable season. The summer airshow schedule is off to an exciting start, highlighted by the upcoming Sail250 Baltimore Airshow featuring our beloved Blue Angels alongside two world-renowned international demonstration teams – the British Royal Air Force Red Arrows and the French Air & Space Force Patrouille de France. This unique gathering of premier military flight demonstration teams promises to be a spectacular celebration of aviation excellence and international friendship.
Your Alumni Board continues to work diligently behind the scenes as we finalize plans for this year’s Alumni Reunion in Pensacola. This reunion will be especially meaningful as we celebrate two historic milestones: the 80th Anniversary of the Blue Angels and the 30th Anniversary of the Blue Angels Alumni Association. We are particularly excited to announce that plans are underway for a combined dinner event that will bring together our Blue Angels family from both alumni associations, reuniting our brothers and sisters in fellowship and shared appreciation for the legacy of the team.
To commemorate these historic anniversaries, we are expanding our merchandise offerings with special commemorative items, including an anniversary challenge coin, anniversary T-shirts, and additional apparel celebrating both the Blue Angels’ 80th Anniversary and the Blue Angels Alumni Association’s 30th Anniversary. We remind members that access to Association merchandise is an exclusive benefit of membership and is available through the members-only section of our website.
We are also pleased to share exciting news regarding the Blue Angels Alumni Scholarship Program. The Board is currently finalizing this year’s scholarship selections and preparing award notifications to our recipients. Thanks to the continued generosity of our members and supporters, this year’s awards will represent the largest scholarship endowment in the program’s history. At the same time, we remain committed to growing the scholarship fund so we can further support the educational goals and aspirations of Blue Angels family members for generations to come.
As we continue our journey toward November’s reunion, your Board remains committed to increasing communication and engagement with our membership. We encourage all active members to share ideas, concerns, or agenda items they would like the Board to consider. As always, we welcome your input and can be reached at Board@BlueAngelsAlumni.com.
Thank you for your continued support of the Association. We look forward to seeing many of you in Pensacola as we celebrate our shared history, honor those who came before us, and continue building the future of the Blue Angels Alumni Association.
Blue Skies!
